FIGHTING FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE

Throughout history, movements and protests have been in the spotlight for years. They have often been portrayed as radical, violent and anti-police.

OBJECTIVE
Identify a problem that can be solved through the design process. Conduct audience research and integrate a variety of media to create awareness about a problem and help alleviate the issue.

APPROACH
My approach was to bring awareness and understanding to Black social justice movements, such as Black Lives Matter and Antifa by comparing them to each other and to movements from previous decades, the Civil Rights Movement and the Black Panther Party. I combined stereotypical images with positive messages, along with a color palette and typeface that can be seen as friendly.
