Films of directors have many similarities in them. They could be similarities in theme, meaning and even main characters.

OBJECTIVE
Create a hypothetical film festival to celebrate the films of John Carpenter. Coordinate a complex set of materials that must function together as a whole as well as separately. The idea is to marry multiple messages with divergent formats—all with a unified aesthetic.

APPROACH
The villains in the films of John Carpenter are people who you would least expect—cars, fog, etc. These “monsters” are your common, everyday things and the “prey” of these monsters do not expect anything. They hope to go about their everyday life. My approach was to focus on the villains in the films of John Carpenter and the idea he had that the monster is in and around all of us.
